Another great win sees Eagles soaring close to top of ladder

AUBURN were sent into bat first against Epping Bulls, but they took it in their stride and ground out a hard-earned 153 at Mona Park

Corey Lowe led the way with 41, with Asad Usman (31) and Ketan Bakshi (20) also contributing.
The Eagles bowlers then had the Bulls batsmen all out for 125.
As usual Yasir Ali did real damage with his unusual, crafty spin taking 3-13 supported by Sean Cleasby 2-44, with the rest of the wickets spread around. This keeps the first grade Eagles in close reach of the top of the ladder.
In second grade, the Eagles sent the Bulls in to bat. On the batsman’s paradise aka North Epping Oval, the Bulls were back in the sheds after 40 overs with 154. Paramraj Randhawa (3-33) did most of the damage with Jas Singh (2-25) and the rest of the wickets spread around. The Auburn Eagles cruised home with 4-158. Shaun Bridges shone with 70 not out and Adam Young (31) also contributed.
The third grade Eagles found their mojo and dismissed the Bulls for 9-128. Braydon Holdstock (2-28), Aaron Hadley (2-22) and Saud Rana (2-28) did the damage with the ball. In reply only two Eagles batsmen lost their wickets as they cruised past the target with 2-133. The Eagles won the Bonus Point.
In fourth grade, the Eagles sent Epping in to bat and they scored 8-172. In reply, the Eagles could only muster 158.
The Auburn Eagles are in third place in a very tight three-way struggle for the Club Championship.
