Annual fundraiser to aid cancer research

DAFFODIL Day is an annual campaign run by the Cancer Council, which aims to raise money for cancer research.

As the ultimate spring flower, daffodils symbolise rebirth and hope.
They also have a meaning of resilience, since they are strong little things that managed to survive throughout winter and are ready to pop up as soon as the days start getting longer.
Why not brighten up your home, office or workplace in the lead up to Daffodil Day by purchasing fresh daffodils and help to create change in the lives of people impacted by cancer.
For all that cancer takes, Cancer Council’s Daffodil Day gives us hope.
There are lots of different ways to get involved in Daffodil Day, such as creating fundraisers, donating money, and, of course, wearing a yellow daffodil.
Join thousands across our nation supporting cancer research this Thursday, August 22.
Throughout August, you’re invited to give all you can to help fund Australia’s brightest and best cancer researchers.
Thanks to investment in research, amazing advancements have been made in cancer prevention, screening and treatment – helping to increase survival rates from 49 per cent in the 1980s to 69 per cent today.
One in two Australians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime but imagine an Australia where there is no cancer and no loss of loved ones to this unforgiving disease.
By giving just $25 you could help equip cancer researchers with the chemicals and lab equipment they need to do their life-saving work.
Giving $50 provides world-class researchers with specialist lab equipment to unlock the answers to understand, prevent and treat cancer.
While donating $100 helps fund DNA sequencing in a cancer gene, giving specialists the tools to improve cancer treatments and save lives.
