Lawyers for the man alleged that the two teachers who taught him English and Arabic Studies at the college, perpetrated the alleged abuse against him through Kinder and Grade 1.
Slater and Gordon Abuse Lawyer Jonathan Georgaklis said the man was just five-years-old when he alleges the abuse began at the hands of these two teachers and resulted in devastating trauma for him throughout his life.
The man has alleged sexual abuse occurred on eight-nine occasions with one teacher and three occasions with another.
“We are trying to identify these two teachers. Al-Faisal College has also told us that yearbooks and report cards do not exist from this time.”
Mr Georgaklis has now called on people who have yearbooks or photos from that era, and anyone who witnessed the abuse or were allegedly abused, to come forward and provide information to potentially assist with a civil historical abuse claim.
Executive Principal Al-Faisal Colleges, Safia Khan Hassanein said the safety and welfare of all students was the priority of Al-Faisal College and it took this allegation very seriously.
She said the college was made aware of this allegation in March 2023 and immediately conducted investigations into those allegations.
“Following those investigations, Al-Faisal College was not able to find any information to substantiate the allegations,” she said.
“Al-Faisal College respects the right and courage of anyone coming forward. However, we have taken this matter as far as possible with the limited information provided.
“We remain committed to conducting further investigations should any additional information be provided.”
