All students aspiring to go to university receive offers

SIR Joseph Banks High School is celebrating after 100 per cent of HSC students aspiring to go to university have gained entry again – as they have for the last four years in a row.

Amid the celebrations, the school is also welcoming its new Principal – Rabieh Gharibeh – who was most recently steering the ship at Granville South Creative and Performing Arts High School.
He is excited to offer his leadership skills to his new community in Revesby and says he will be aiming to strengthen the links between student learning and well-being, with positive well-being translating into strong educational growth and success.
‘Our systems allow students to receive specialist, wraparound support internally within the school as well as through our other links,” he said.
“Our goal is to continue to achieve the 100 per cent success rate of students wishing to go to university as well as supporting others to achieve their training or job dreams.”
For many of students, they will be the first person from their family to go to university.
“Gifted and talented students have an opportunity to excel through our programs but for those that require additional support, we have those supports in place too,” he said.
“This year we have over 850 amazing individuals enrolled at our school; 2023 is going to be an exciting year for all of us and best of luck to our 2022 HSC graduates.”
