All invited to Pink Ribbon Morning Tea to raise cash, enjoy lots of fun, games

AN hilarious take on beer pong, bra pong – where players attempt to shoot ping pong balls into a brassiere hanging on a board – will be one of the games on offer when Club Mount Lewis hosts a Pink Ribbon Morning Tea to raise funds to fight breast cancer this Friday.

There will also be an auction of a stunning local painting and a selection of beautiful bras that have been bedazzled just for the occasion.
Organiser Marilyn Ledger said it would be the fourth pink event they’ve held at the club over the years, raising over $8,000 to help find a cure to breast cancer.
“The beautiful bras auction is always very popular, the decorated bras are artworks themselves and there will also be prizes, raffles and a sale of jams and preserves,” she said.
“One of the bar staff has been growing a beard and will shave it off during our event and donate the proceeds from his ‘bucket on the bar’.
“We’re aiming to have a crowd of 60 to 80 as we always have so much fun and everyone is welcome to join us for a good cause.”
Attendees are requested to bring a gold coin donation and a plate for morning tea, with free tea and coffee at the event on Friday, October 13, from 10am.
