All Eagles except third grade flying high

ARDIL Domingo snared 4-53 off 17 overs to help get the Auburn Eagles home against Mt Pritchard in the Sydney Shires first grade cricket competition.

The second last round of the season, the Eagles were victorious in first, second and fourth grades.
First grade was a closely fought game with the Mounties using several top Eagle players from last season. Scoring was slow so Auburn continued batting on day 2, setting a modest target of 208. Corey Lowe hit 60, Shan Rana, 51 and Najeeb Assimi, 30.
Mounties fought ferociously but were all out for 204, giving first innings points to the Eagles. Yasir Ali also took 4-80.
The second grade Eagles had a stunning outright win after losing the first innings.
Sadly, the third grade Mounties, 187, defeated the Eagles, 90. Captain Mo Dewji took 4-59, Jas Singh, 3-53 and Aron Hadley, 2-17, were the best of the bowlers.
In fourth grade, Auburn’s 6-61 was enough to pass the Mounties’ 57.
