All able to accept ‘gift of eternal life’

THE current cost of living is without doubt one of the greatest concerns facing Australians today.

With stagnant wage growth, skyrocketing expenses and looming debt, it is understandable that we might refer to this as a crisis of our age.
Nevertheless there is a much greater crisis facing us all.
None of us is perfect.
We have all made mistakes; we have lied and cheated; we have hurt and been hurt.
We have all sinned, and the Bible says that “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 3:23).
Death is the just reward for a rebellious life, and it is a debt that none of us can afford.
The verse continues however, “the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Have you ever considered how strange it is that, at Easter, Christians celebrate the death of Jesus? The reality is that Jesus’ death was a payment. He died to pay the debt of all who would believe in Him.
Not only that, but He rose from the dead that we might have this free gift as well.
So, are you ready to live debt free this Easter?
