The New Zealand-Australian actor and singer is known internationally for his role as Captain Typho in the films ‘Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones’ and ‘Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith’.
Laga’aia is noted for his television roles, including Senior Constable Tommy Tavita in the Australian police drama ‘Water Rats’, lawyer David Silesi in the New Zealand legal drama ‘Street Legal’ and Elijah Johnson in the long running Australian soap opera ‘Home and Away’.
He is also a regular on Australian kids program ‘Play School’.
Drama teacher Joyce Conte said the actor worked with students on building performance skills and shared his experiences in the entertainment profession.
“He also inspired students to find their passion and work towards achieving their goals, saying ‘your 30-year-old self wants you to be brave’,” she said.
Principal Rabieh Gharibeh thanked Laga’aia for taking the time to share his wisdom.
“We hope to welcome him back again soon,” he said.
