Active Kids Voucher for soccer’s on offer

ON the back of Matilda-mania, the Women’s World Cup excitement and the success the Socceroos are having in the Asia Cup in Qatar, Granville Waratah Soccer Football Club President Noel Dona is expecting a bumper year.

“Registrations are up, new players are being drawn to our club, and there are a lot more female footballers than ever before. It’s a great time to be playing soccer,” he said.
“Just like the peak in numbers we experienced when Australia won the Asia Cup here when we hosted it back in 2015, we were expecting a boost in numbers, so we’re not really surprised with what is presently happening but it’s still really fantastic.
“We are especially seeing lots of new boys and girls coming to the sport early with some as young as three and four-years-old taking part in our fun Waratah Buds Program, all the way through to what promises to be a very good elite X League squad competing for Australia’s oldest trophies in the Granville & Districts Soccer Football Association (GDSFA).”
Dona says it’s time to register now to take advantage of the NSW Government’s Active Kids Vouchers.
“Parents need to register to play and claim the Active Kid Vouchers to receive the government subsidy before tomorrow, January 31, when they are set to expire.”
