SYDNEY Olympic Park’s Newington Armory will be hosting a new Aboriginal art exhibition and free guided cultural tours in June.

The ‘Healing Through Belonging’ exhibition at the Murama Healing Space, will feature more than 30 artworks by 20 community and professional artists.
Over the next two weekends (June 8-9, 15-16), people will also be able to take a free guided Indigenous cultural heritage tour led by young Aboriginal ‘River Rangers’.
With free Indigenous cultural activities and performances also on offer, the project has been developed in close partnership with the local Aboriginal community guided by local Indigenous man Dr John Hunter.
“The Healing Space will serve as a hub for gathering, learning, cultural expression, and revival as well as to provide employment opportunities for local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people,” he said.
