A must-see for music fans of all ages finally to rock in

IT’S been four years in the making after early production efforts were derailed over covid but high octane musical ‘We Will Rock You’ will be worth the wait when it debuts at Bryan Brown Theatre in April.

Bankstown Theatre Company director Daniel Conway has just cast the characters following two weeks of auditions and says the depth of talent is incredible.
Featuring Queen’s greatest hits, including Bohemian Rhapsody, Another One Bites the Dust, I Want to Break Free, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Somebody To Love, Under Pressure, A Kind of Magic and more, Conway says this record-breaking show is a must-see for rock fans of all ages.
The all-powerful Globalsoft Corporation controls everyone’s lives and insists they only hear bland synthesized pop but the kids are rebelling … and they need a hero who can help them discover their dreams and find the ‘live’ music.
“This show is a celebration of some of the best rock music ever written – it’s just hit after hit after hit,” Conway said.
“It’s similar to an English pantomime because it is just so over-the-top, fully engaging and perfect for escapism.
“The cast is sensational with the leads being played by Marika Zorlu (Killer Queen) and Ben Oliver (Commander Khashoggi); their energy is off the charts and we are all loving every minute in rehearsals.
“This will be entertainment at its very best, rock is back, baby and we will rock you.”
It’s on offer from April 26 to May 5, with tickets available from bankstowntheatrecompany.com in early 2024.
