A SERIES of still life paintings of local plants, flowers and home-grown fruits and vegetables feature next at Inner West Council’s Chrissie Cotter Gallery.
Familiar Flora is an exploration of the Inner West’s urban plant-life using a variety of painting mediums.
“As the urban spaces, both built and natural, of the Inner West are evolving, the exploration of local urban flora, both native and introduced, is a rich and joyous topic that provides endless artistic enquiry and inspiration,” says artist Imogen Eve.
Familiar Flora is on at Chrissie Cotter Gallery, August 1-11, with opening night on Wednesday, 31 July, 6-8pm.
