Greenacre man charged over robbery spree

A MAN from Greenacre has been charged after an alleged robbery spree targeting multiple fast-food burger and pizza restaurants.

Strike Force Fairbanks was formed last month to investigate the eight alleged robberies, which targeted restaurants in Bass Hill, Punchbowl, Kellyville, Campsie, Greenacre, Merrylands, Chester Hill, Belmore and Belfield, between Wednesday, August 14, and Friday, August 30.
Strike Force detectives were told that during the incidents an unknown man wearing dark clothing allegedly threatened staff and demanded cash before leaving.
Last Friday police raided a Greenacre home, allegedly seizing a scooter and clothing, and charging a 27-year-old with eight counts of robbery and break and enter dwelling house with intent steal.
