City2Surf for Little Wings

It’s even harder when it comes with the emotional and financial strain of being away from your family and home, while your child braves treatment.
That’s when Bankstown charity Little Wings steps in to lift spirits and lighten the load, transporting sick children and their families from regional areas, to Sydney for specialist medical treatment.
However, the volunteer-run organisation also needs help – to keep its engines running – and as such, is taking part in this year’s City2Surf on Sunday, August 11, with residents invited to help keep its missions soaring.
Kickin’ Inn staff, including Managing Director Sami Karras and CEO Ravi Singh, will be joining the Little Wings runners which include its CEO Clare Pearson, footy star Josh Reynolds and Paralympian Kate Bailey on the 14km, iconic course.
Sami said Little Wings was very dear to his organisation.
“It breaks your heart when you see kids in need and that’s exactly what Little Wings does so we are more than happy to support them in anyway we can,” he said.
Ravi said taking part in the run on behalf of Little Wings, was an opportunity to look after our future.
“Our children are our future,” he said.
“We need to do everything possible for their health and the City2Surf opens a door.
“Let’s all get behind this great initiative.”
Little Wings CEO Clare aims to have a team of 20 or more registered, with the goal of raising $20,000.
“Together, we can bridge the gap in healthcare accessibility and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Kickin’ Inn for their support over the past year.”
The first 20 runners to register will receive a limited edition t-shirt, with all the team to enjoy a free seafood ‘after-party’ at Kickin’ Inn Zetland from noon.
