Modelling can be an exciting career with many benefits, including travel opportunities, flexible hours and access to the latest fashion trends.
Giving modelling a go as a hobby might even inspire you to pursue it further and now you have the chance to learn how to put your best foot forward with a new course – Modelling Classes for Kids, Teens and Adults – at Parramatta Community College.
Course teacher Visi Carlyon has an extensive background in beauty pageants and modelling, having held the titles such as Social Media Queen by AGSA (Australian Golden Sash Awards), Ms Universe Diamonds Official 2022-2023, Mrs Universe Philippines Australia 2022, Mrs Australasia 2019, and Miss Philippines Science School 2000 – first runner up.
Visi is also a skilled hair and makeup artist with over eight years’ experience specialising in working with models, beauty queens and celebrities.
As well as managing her small business, Miss Elegance Beauty Hair & Makeup, Visi is an ambassador for various brands in clothing, skincare and accessories.
She said the course was an exciting opportunity for children, teens and adults to learn skills and techniques vital to the world of modelling pageantry.
“I teach basic to advanced catwalk techniques that are designed to empower individuals with the knowledge and confidence necessary to succeed not just in modelling on and off the catwalk but in life,” Visi said.
The six-hour sessions are proposed for Thursday, Friday and Saturday (one hour per class) and expected to get underway in late August. Course costs $300.
