Luxury car repairer and racer gearing up for popular Hot Rod & Custom Auto Expo

AMONG the fast car enthusiasts racing into this weekend’s Hot Rod & Custom Auto Expo at Rosehill Racecourse, Exclusive Body Werks Clyde owner Ron Goodman says it’s an event he looks forward to every year.

The factory-authorised repairer for Porsche, McLaren, Tesla, Aston Martin and Rolls Royce is also a racing maestro.
His stunning 1954 Porsche 356 pre-A was the star of the award-winning documentary, ‘The Road to Monterey’, which followed Ron’s journey in 2015 to get the 356 coupe over to the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at the world-famous Laguna Seca Raceway in the USA.
Closer to home, Ron has bragging rights around Bathurst in the very same car.
On its first outing at Mount Panorama, it broke a 12-year-old lap record by 33 seconds and still holds the record.
He says the Hot Rod & Custom Auto Expo is the largest show of its kind in Australia and a melting pot of Australia’s car culture.
“I’ll be taking eight or nine Porsches to exhibit and look forward to seeing all the latest machines,” he said.
“There really will be something for everyone there; it’s a car and racing lover’s paradise.”
Along with a Motor Bike Alley, the Expo will feature dozens of car clubs, trade show, outdoor car corral, a pinstriping art collective and entertainment for all ages plus much more.
Gear up for the Hot Rod & Custom Auto Expo at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse this Saturday and Sunday, May 27-28, 9am-5pm.
