“The Rotary Club of Padstow believes our service officers are our ‘heroes’ as these men and women do a wonderful job supporting our local and wider community,” Rotary Club of Padstow President, Charles Mille, said.
“Our aim is to recognise these officers who are nominated by their supervisors and peers as having performed at a level exceeding all expectations.
“This year we were supported by sponsorship from NSW Telco Authority, Aeria Management and RFI Wireless as well as a club grant from Bankstown Sports Club.”
Winners were: Detective Senior Constable Dylan Molloy, Bankstown Police Area Command; Leading Senior Constable Amy Tattam, NSW Police Transport Command; Inspector Tina Davies, Revesby Highway Patrol NSW Police; Senior Constable Gabriel Gamboa, NSW Police Aviation Support Branch; Senior Fire Fighter Greg Scarfe, Station Commander, Bankstown Fire Station; Paul Beylerian, Technical Capability, Fire and Rescue NSW Greenacre Headquarters; Megan Willcocks, Paramedic and Acting Station Officer, NSW Ambulance Bankstown Superstation; Paul Kernick, Helicopter Education and Training Manager, NSW Ambulance Aeromedical; Phillip Long, NSW State Emergency Service Bankstown; Sonia Smith Emergency, Vehicle Operator Newborn and Paediatric Emergency Transport Service; and Sgt Brian Chan, St John Ambulance Bankstown Division.
“It was also a great opportunity to recognise two officers retiring at Bankstown Police,” Charles said.
“We awarded Pride of Workmanship awards to Chief inspector David Small and Brett Honeybrook who both had given more than 30 years service to the Bankstown Community.”
