Most important chapter in in tale of forgiveness, love

THE real meaning of Easter.

In our church we have a cross. I wear one around my neck.
Why on earth would I choose to live with an image of extreme suffering, torture and death? Because it is a help. For me it is a source of love, and faith, and hope.
It reminds me that Easter is the most important chapter in the Christian story, and because the iconic image of the cross has important truths to tell us all – believer and non-believer alike – about the human condition. For central to Christianity is the belief that Jesus Christ accepted His terrible death for the sake of flawed humanity.
He was the Lamb of God who sacrificed Himself to atone for the sins of the world.
What I have no doubt of is this – that the message of the self-sacrificial love and of the forgiveness of sins expressed by the Crucifixion of Christ demonstrates amazing love, meaningful faith, and glorious hope.
Whatever your belief about Jesus, the Cross and the Empty Tomb can give you strength to persevere through the problems of life. Because all of us need the assurance that the stone can be rolled away. That through accepting Jesus Christ and through His resurrection, we can walk out of our darkness into a garden of spring flowers.
This is a message of love, faith, and hope. May you experience Christ’s hope this Easter.
