Dogs come close to miracle with Daniels

BULLDOGS bowlers almost pulled off a miracle against Northern Districts on day two of the penultimate round match in Sydney Premier Cricket at Bankstown Oval on Saturday.

Northern Districts were all out for just 147 and batting again, captain Daniel Solway lead the way with a stoic 84 before the Dogs declared at 9 for 185 leaving the visitors to chase 131 runs for outright victory.
It looked likely when Northern Districts were 0 for 86 but Daniel Burns decimated the batsmen, taking a stunning 8 wickets for just 38 runs.
However, the visitors survived on 9 for 126 – still 5 runs short and gaining first innings’ points but unable to deny the Dogs’ fighting spirit.
