Officers spat on

POLICE were allegedly spat on when they arrested a man wanted over the daylight attack on a jogger in Auburn almost two months ago. A MAN has been charged over the alleged assault of a female jogger in Auburn late last year.
About 6.50pm on Thursday, December 29, the woman was jogging along Railway Parade when a man grabbed her from behind and assaulted her.
The woman was allegedly pushed to the ground but fought off the man who ran to Lidcombe station and boarded a train.
The woman did not suffer any serious injuries.
Following inquiries, including a public appeal for information, a 29-year-old man was arrested on Park Road, Auburn, last Friday morning
He was taken to Auburn Police Station where an outstanding warrant was executed for assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and stalk/intimate intend fear physical harm.
He was also charged with assault officer in execution of duty, and breach of bail.
Police will allege in court that the man has resisted arrest and spat at officers during the arrest.
