COMING from across Sydney and Wollongong, 102 junior boys and girls representative teams and a crowd of 2,500, attended Bankstown Touch Football’s 15th annual Jets gala day at the Vale of Ah in Milperra last Sunday.
President Kylie Wilkinson said the event was a great success with Bankstown Jets parents and volunteers working tirelessly all day to feed and organise the participants and onlookers.
“Bankstown Jets will be sending their representative teams in the boys and girls divisions to the Junior State Cup in Wagga Wagga next weekend and the gala day was a perfect preparation for this tournament,” she said.
“Our teams have prepared well and the club is hopeful they can add to the number of state titles they currently hold.”
Bankstown’s local adult competition will be starting up again on April 24, with all new players and teams welcome to participate.
