Students are encouraged to strive for their personal best in order to graduate as well-rounded young women who care about others.
As part of this aim, the College has instigated a social justice program which entails students being of service in the home and community.
This can take the form for younger students performing extra chores around the house, to older students coaching or teaching sport, debating or dance and working with community groups and church organisations to help those in need.
Growth in the emotional sense is highlighted in the whole school wellbeing program which in 2022, focussed on healthy patterns of sleep, nutrition and exercise, mindfulness, anti-stress techniques, yoga, cyber safety, relationships, decision making and positive body image.
Principal Robyn Rodwell says the College values the role a healthy sense of self has on a quality education.
“Academically, a key focus is on measuring the growth in student learning,” she said.
“Bethany College has an outstanding record of growing each student to reach their best. This has culminated in a strong learning culture across the school resulting in significant HSC success.
“Congratulations to the class of 2022 where one in five students achieved an ATAR in the top 10 per cent of the State and one in three in the top 20 per cent.”
Prospective students and their families are invited to discover more at the College’s Open Day on Wednesday, March 1, 3.30-6.30pm. Ph: 8566 0711.
