Canterbury Bankstown Tennis Association (CBTA) General Secretary Adele English said the upgrade included two new courts, revamping others into multi-purpose sports courts, new accessible pathways and a shower and toilet for those with disabilities – all giving the centre a much-needed lift.
“Past and present players enjoyed the event and snacked on refreshments afterwards as we cheered on the Australian Open Men’s finalists on the big screen,” she said.
“We all look forward to seeing the ‘buzz’ as the centre is now officially opened for business catering for more and more sports as well as tennis.”
Among the many attending were CBTA President Roger Pitt (pictured), Revesby Ward Councillor David Walsh, Mr Coleman and CBTA’s Paul Burgess and Linda Wright-Babb.
