Charged over leading ‘dial a dealer’ supply

A MAN has been charged over alleged ‘dial a dealer’ drug supply in Bankstown.

In December 2022, police began an investigation into the supply of cannabis in and around the Bankstown CBD transport hub.
As part of ongoing inquiries, about 5.20pm on Friday, February 3, police stopped a vehicle on Stacey Street, Bankstown, and during a search of the vehicle, allegedly seized resealable bags and three mobile phones.
Later that night, a search warrant was executed at an address on Sir Joseph Banks Street, Bankstown, police allegedly located approximately 10.5kg of cannabis with a street value of approximately $850,000, cannabis oil, prescription medication and mobile phones.
The man, 24, was charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug (larger than indictable quality, smaller than commercial quantity), two counts of supply prohibited drug, knowingly/recklessly direct criminal group assist crime, and three counts of drive motor vehicle while licence suspended.
Investigators will allege in court that between December 2022 and February 2023, the man was directing a criminal group for the purpose of drug supply in the Bankstown area.
Inquiries are ongoing.
