Dancing queen could be our next ‘Australian Idol’

A TALENTED dancer since the age of four, Belmore resident Kristina Bilanic (pictured) only discovered she also had a good set of pipes after a singing lesson a few years ago.

After much encouragement from family and friends, the 22-year-old decided to throw her hat into the Australian Idol ring and to her immense surprise, has made it through the producer’s audition.
She says she is beyond excited to audition live on national TV before the judges – Harry Connick Jr, Meghan Trainor, Amy Shark and Kyle Sandilands – when the show debuts on Monday, January 30, on Channel 7.
“It’s a dream come true; I’ll be singing and also showing off a few dance moves,” she said.
“I’m planning to perform ‘Dynamite’ and am a big fan of BTS, Ariana Grande, Pink, Harry Styles and all of the K-Pop groups.”
In fact, Kristina performs professionally with local dance group, K-Pop Crew, as well as teaching dance in Sydney’s inner west
Thoroughly enjoying the Australian Idol experience so far, she says she could hear herself getting better and better during all of the tryout heats.
“I’ve learnt so much already, it’s been amazing and I can’t wait to surprise all of my friends and family when I’m on TV next week; hope everyone tunes in and enjoys it as much as I have,” she said.
