DETECTIVES are appealing for information after a woman suffering a gunshot wound presented at Bankstown Hospital last Thursday afternoon.
The 37-year-old woman suffered a gunshot wound to her torso and was driven to the emergency department about 12.50pm. Believed to have been shot inside a home at Condell Park, the woman has undergone surgery and is in a stable condition.
Police have been told the woman was a passenger in a white sedan driven by a man described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, about 175cm tall, with a medium build, and a dark beard. At the time, he was wearing a black hoodie, black shorts over full-length black training tights.
The man left the area on foot shortly afterwards and police are seeking public information to locate him.
