Raise $22,000 to help sick young

MORE than 100 supporters have helped raise $22,000 at the ‘Brunch in Belmore’ last month for charity foundation Help for Hirschsprung Disease which supplies toiletry bags and Buddy Bears to children’s hospitals in Sydney and Melbourne.

Georgina Altas, whose son George suffers with the disease and who established the charity six years ago, says the event was entertainment packed.
Special guests included The Block 2022’s Sharon Johal, Comedian Jon Bernard MC Rodney O, MAFS’ Melissa Lucarelli MAFs, My Mum Your Dad participants Pricilla Tarabay and Carole Haddad and Amazing Race participant Rowah Hassan.
Georgina said they hadn’t been able to host a fundraiser in three years because of Covid and it was wonderful to see such community support.
”Thank you to all for your support as we’re hoping to raise enough funds to expand our program into hospitals around Australia,” she said.
