Music on Green while kids play golf

HOW would you like an afternoon of enjoying great Aussie classics, the Beatles and leading rock anthems from around the world while the children play putt putt golf?

If you’re looking for a fun, relaxing time to gather with friends in the lead up to Christmas, Lidcombe Bowling Club has ‘Music on the Green’ coming up this Saturday, December 17, from 4pm with a food van in the carpark so you won’t go hungry.
With $10 entry, there will be three lives bands playing – The Voice contestant Terry Lockley and his band, the Russell Parkhouse Band and David Lester’s The Rock Chronicles in which famed guitarist Frank Fender is playing.
Frank says everyone can look forward to a fantastic afternoon.
“We will be playing loads of Aussie favourites, all the hits from the 80s and more, just to get the festive, party vibe going ahead of Christmas,” he said.
“If you’re a live music fan, make sure you drop in and enjoy the fun.”
David says the club is also hosting nine-hole putt putt golf to occupy the kids during the shows.
“It’s going to be an amazing celebration and we’re going to try to talk Frank into playing ‘The Star Spangled Banner’ with his teeth,” he said.
“As far as we know he’s the only other person on the planet, apart from the late Jimi Hendrix, who can do that’; he is one of Australia’s best, if not the best, guitarists.”
