Christmas Day Lunch on offer for all in community

ST Peter Chanel and St Joseph Parish of Berala will again be holding their annual Christmas Day Lunch in the Parish Hall for one and all.

State MP for Auburn, Lynda Voltz, joined Parish Priest Fr Thomas Kurunthanam and staff and volunteers from the church to launch the 2022 St Peter Chanel and St Joseph Parish Community Christmas Lunch in the Parish Hall.
Each year the church hosts lunch on Christmas Day for those who may no longer have family and friends to enjoy Christmas with or those in need, with help from volunteers and some generous donations.
The Parish Hall and Church on Kingsland Road, Berala, will be open at 11.30am for lunch so either just go along or you can pre-register. Either way there will be plenty of food for all.
Ms Voltz said whether you’re in need of help or just some company on Christmas Day, everyone is welcome for Christmas Lunch at St Peter Chanel.
“There is no need to bring anything other than your Christmas cheer,” she said.
“Christmas can often be a difficult and lonely time for many in our community, so it’s fantastic to see St Peter Chanel and St Joseph Parish, like they do every year, getting into the spirit of giving this season and organising this amazing lunch full of a delicious array of foods.
“For everyone who is struggling or on their own this Christmas Day, come on down to the church hall for a friendly face and a delicious meal.”
All food and drink on Christmas Day will be supplied and you can register by calling 9644 7787 or emailing info@stpeter-stjoseph.org.au.
