ENSURING Picnic Point High School’s 60th anniversary celebrations were extra sweet last month, a group of Year 9 and 10 Food Technology and Year 11 Hospitality students cooked up impressive, mouthwatering batches of cupcakes, slices and sold milkshakes at the celebration.
Raising over $750 which they donated to Foodbank and the Starlight Foundation, the students really outdid themselves, according to Food Technology teacher Teriesa Thompson.
“They wanted to do something to help make our anniversary celebrations a success as well as helping those less fortunate,” Ms Thompson said.
“They were certainly able to achieve both and I am very proud of them and the baking and decorating skills that they have showcased.”
