It’s alleged that about 6.35pm on Friday, November 25, the 26-year-old woman was inside her bedroom in a unit on Park Road, when an unknown man allegedly entered her room armed with a meat cleaver, threatened and sexually assaulted her, before leaving the unit.
A short time later the woman attended Auburn Police Station and police commenced an investigation, before detectives from the State Crime Command’s Sex Crimes Squad took over the matter under Strike Force Cinnibar.
Three days later detectives attended a correctional facility in Silverwater and arrested a 37-year-old man.
He was charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault-threat to inflict actual bodily harm with weapon, and one count each of threat inflict actual bodily harm on victim with intent to have sex intercourse, sexually touch another person without consent, and aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence-people there.

A MAN has been charged after an alleged horrific attack in which a woman was threatened with a meat cleaver and sexually assaulted in her apartment in Auburn.
