After winning the Zero Barriers Award over their inclusivity policies in June, Swimz has now been named the 2022 AustSwim NSW Award Winner in the category of Swim School of Excellence – Small.
Presented to organisations after meeting high standards of aquatic education excellence, this award cements Swimz Guildford as an industry-leading swim school in the local community.
To be eligible for the award, nominees must demonstrate considerable experience in the aquatic industry as well as client needs, ensuring positive learning outcomes in teaching the lifesaving skill of swimming and water safety.
Swimz Guildford owner Anu Bedi said the team was “extremely proud and grateful to have been recognised in this way. This award is especially special as it is the top industry body recognising all of the efforts we put into our swim programs, facility, lessons and teachers”.
“Over the years, we have built a positive, fun and professional culture that’s dedicated to our clients and community,” she said.
“In the pandemic, we were the first industry to shut and last industry to open up again.
“But our enrolments are at capacity again and we keep trying to add more classes to meet the demand of the local community.
“This ‘can do’ attitude of our staff makes us a winning team and so this award is a credit to each of our staff.”
