Just before 4.30pm on Sunday, November 20, two men were involved in an altercation on Gallipoli Street at Lidcombe, during which it’s alleged one of the men fired a number of shots towards the other and his vehicle.
Both vehicles left the area, however, a short time later were involved in a crash in Homebush, which allegedly led to another fight between the pair.
The following day an 18-year-old man was charged with four offences including discharge firearm – intend cause grievous bodily harm, fire firearm in or near public place, acquire prohibited firearm – subject of a prohibition order, and passenger not disclose driver/other passengers’ identity.
Police will allege in court that the man, who was the driver of the hatchback, discharged a firearm toward the occupants of the ute while in Gallipoli Street.
Following further inquiries, a 30-year-old man was charged last Friday with predatory driving, affray, and fail to exchange particulars.
A Toyota Hilux, seized by police at a business in Peakhurst, is undergoing forensic examination.

A SECOND person has been charged over an alleged crash and shooting in Lidcombe last week.
