Last Friday (September 2) about 11.15am Auburn Highway Patrol were conducting stationary testing in Regents Park when they stopped a white Toyota Corolla and the driver produced an international licence. Police said further checks revealed that the driver did hold a NSW Licence and in the past 12 months police had taken action against the driver on no less than five occasions for driving suspended or with the inappropriate class of licence.
The driver was subjected to a road side drug test which returned a positive indication for Methamphetamine and a search allegedly located drug implements and small amounts of prohibited drugs.
He was charged with unlicensed driving, possession of a prohibited drug and possession of drug implements, with the drug test still pending.
