Get more out of life with Probus

THERE is no need to sit at home alone with nothing to do when new friends await at the Probus Club of Auburn.

As well as a meeting on the second Tuesday of every month at Dooleys Sports Club, Regents Park, with the next on August 9, the Probus group enjoy monthly outings on public transport.
“This year we have been to Springwood, Featherdale, Woy Woy, Sydney Zoo at Bungarribee and Rouse Hill on the Metro,” Probus President Delma Lloyd said.
“We are going to Cronulla this month and Manly in August and then probably Coogee, catch the rivercat to Abbotsford and a trip to Davistown on the Central Coast during the remainder of the year.
“We usually have a week away once a year, not in the past two years, but this year are planning to explore the goldfields among other things at Bendigo and Ballarat in Victoria.”
Comprising retired men and women aged in their 60s to 90s, the club also hears from a range of inspiring guest speakers and is inviting people of all cultures to join in the fun.
“I’ve been enjoying the speakers and the wonderful outings with Probus now for 25 years and can’t recommend it enough,” Delma said.
“It’s a very social, friendly group that you get to know and look forward to seeing and we always get together for lunch and a chat after our meeting so why not come along?”
