Cherry Blossom Fest returns to celebrate Japanese pop culture

ONE of Australia’s most photographed, natural and instragrammable cultural events, the Sydney Cherry Blossom Festival is making a comeback to Auburn Botanic Gardens next month.

It will be held over nine days from Saturday, August 20 to Sunday, August 28, from 9am to 5pm.
The festival pays homage to Japan’s traditions, music, pop culture and food all while capturing the hearts of thousands as the Cherry Blossoms burst into colour across the grounds.
Organisers promise to bring back crowd favourites including the ‘Cherry Trail’, the Japanese fusion food village and Izakaya Bar, the iconic Hello Kitty and loads more.
Entry is free for Cumberland residents and all children four years-old and under, and $10 for non-residents.
Tickets will be available from Tuesday, July 12, at oztix.com.au.
