Mini Roos ‘Come and Try’ afternoon to help build fair play, teamwork skills

HELPING children to develop the values of respect, teamwork and fair play at a young age, North Bankstown Soccer Club (NBSC) is hosting a ‘Mini Roos Come and Try’ afternoon next Sunday at Graf Park in Yagoona.
Ideal for those aged four to 11 who have never had any soccer experience, Mini Roos is a Football NSW-certified program on offer on March 13, 3-4pm, in which professional coaches help young participants build skills though games and simple drills delivered in an engaging and inclusive environment.
“Every player gets plenty of time on the ball and the prime aim of each session is for children to build fundamental motor skills,” NBSC President Catherine Kearns said.

“In addition, each child receives a MiniRoos Participant Pack when they register to play after the tryout day – which includes a bag, ball, sticker sheet and an activity book.”
An opportunity to make new friends and socialise, Mini Roos will also help develop your child’s ability to make quick decisions and improve reaction time.
“Before normal kick-off, we host a barbecue for parents and have inflatables provided by Football NSW for the kids to enjoy and to keep them engaged from 2-3pm before kick-off,” Kearns said.
“Best of all, the entire day is free for both parents and children.”
