One Wendy Avenue resident said he heard the tree come crashing down about 9pm but quick responding SES crews had the tree cleaned up and removed by 10.30pm.
“We were lucky – had a car parked on the road all day and I’d mown the lawn in the afternoon, right under it, and my wife had been working in the garden all day,” he said.
