Holroyd Hotshots president Stephanie Bushell says there are many girls and women raring to go after last year’s season was reduced to a spring competition among the clubs over Covid.
“Last year was very disappointing when we had to miss out on fresh air, friends and exercise,” she said.
“So everyone is looking forward to getting back on the court.”
If you want to keep fit, then netball is a really fun way to do that, according to Bushell.
“You get a great cardiovascular workout,” she said.
“Being outside is good for your mental and physical health; you also develop awesome team cooperation skills through netball.
“I love seeing the confidence and leadership that children develop from participating in netball and we are also inviting boys aged five to 12 and 13 years plus to come and give netball a try.”
Getting involved in netball can also open up opportunities to play at representative level or try your hand at coaching or umpiring.
If you’ve never played and want to try netball out first – fill out the attendance form at facebook.com/HolroydHotshots.
