Urge residents to get third vaccine dose booster now interval shorter

MILLIONS more people are now eligible for a Covid-19 booster vaccination after NSW Health brought forward the interval between doses by a month and they are being urged to book their third dose of the vaccine.

Health Minister Brad Hazzard said being able to get that booster at three months after your second dose, gives the opportunity to be “much safer, much sooner”.
State MP for East Hills, Wendy Lindsay, had her booster shot at her local chemist and has joined the call for all those eligible to do the same.
“My thoughts are with everyone who has been impacted by the recent Covid-19 Omicron wave and I urge those that are eligible to receive a booster shot, to book an appointment,” she said.
Local GPs and vaccination hubs are also taking bookings. To find the nearest vaccination centre, visit nsw.gov.au/covid-19/vaccination/.
