Find stolen vehicles in unsafe car blitz

POLICE recovered two allegedly stolen vehicles during an operation targeting modified and unroadworthy motor vehicles within the Bankstown Police Area Command.

On Tuesday, November 2, Traffic and Highway Patrol ran the operation in collaboration with Transport for NSW Inspectors and issued 39 Defect Notices (15 major, 24 minor), 32 defect Traffic Infringement Notices (TINs) and 25 TINs for various other traffic offences.
Inspector Tina Davies, Georges River Traffic and Highway Patrol, said as law-abiding, responsible drivers, we know we take the proper steps to ensure the safety of ourselves and our loved ones when we’re behind the wheel, but defective car parts have the potential to cause serious, life-altering accidents – the effects of these accidents are often physical, emotional and economical.
If you see, suspect or know of any dangerously modified and unsafe vehicles, call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at nsw.crimestoppers.com.au.”
