Dig deep to assist Salvos help others doing it tough

THE Salvos want to leave no one in need this Christmas and have called on the generosity of residents again to partner with them in supporting others doing it tough.

Salvation Army Auburn has urged the community to dig deep and provide donations.
Auburn Salvos Corps officer Natalie Kistan says they are in need of toys and non-perishable food and it can be dropped off at 166-170 South Parade, Auburn.
“While Christmas is a time of joy and celebration for many, others doing it tough in our community find it an extremely difficult period for them personally,” she said.
“The increased isolation, financial stress and mental health impacts of Covid this year, will only exacerbate these issues.
“Connection will be more important than ever this year, so look out for your mate, check in on family and embrace the meaning of Christmas.”
Ms Kistan says anyone in need this Christmas can reach out to the Salvos at Auburn by calling 8644 0167 “and we’ll do all we can to support you”.
“We don’t want anyone to go it alone this year; if you need food, gifts, financial support or are feeling lonely, please get in touch with us,” she said.
To leave no one in need this Christmas, please donate to The Salvation Army’s Christmas Appeal at salvationarmy.org.au or by calling 13 72 58.
Donations can also be made in person at any Salvos Store and Kmart store.
