PCYC re-opens again thrill

A SPECIAL opportunity for learner drivers aged under 25 will be on offer at Bankstown PCYC which has ceased performing Covid vaccinations and re-opened for normal activities.

PCYC Club Manager David Adams said more than 56,000 vaccinations were administered in the last few months and they were thrilled to help but now looking forward to welcoming back their 1,800 members.
The centre is back to offering boxing, soccer, basketball, gymnastics, martial arts and multi-sports, while learner drivers can undertake a five-hour course and then have 20 hours knocked off their log book.
The course is not new but it usually costs $140 and they are offering it for just $40.
“It’s a great money and time saver, all learner drivers should take advantage of this opportunity to develop skills and get their licence sooner,” David said.
Those attending the centre and aged over 16 must be double vaccinated, and David doesn’t see that as a problem as Canterbury Bankstown has one of the best vaccination rates per capita in NSW.
“I’ve been in touch with some of our members and there’s certainly no hesitation in returning here so we are very excited to see everyone over the coming weeks,” he said.
“We’ve got all of the favourite programs returning as well as school holiday activities later this year.”
