Arrest elderly man attackers

TWO men arrested in early morning raids at Bankstown and Revesby Heights last Thursday, have been charged with the alleged attack on a 75-year-old man who was tied up, assaulted and robbed last year.

A man suffered serious injuries after being tied to a chair and assaulted by three men at a remote property in Byrock, about 110km south of Bourke, on Friday, January 3, 2020. A number of items were also allegedly stolen from the home before the men fled.
The 75-year-old was taken to hospital and has since recovered.
Strike Force Kinilibah was formed to investigate the alleged incident and a 27-year-old man was previously charged over his alleged involvement in the incident and remains before the courts.
Following further inquiries, strike force detectives arrested two men, aged 25 and 28, at Bankstown and Revesby Heights.
During a subsequent search of the Bankstown property, police allegedly located cash, clothing, mobile phones and dismantled a small hydroponic set-up. At the Revesby address, police seized clothing.
All seized items will undergo further forensic examination.
Both men were charged with take and detain in company with intent to get advantage occasion actual bodily harm, specially aggravated enter dwelling with intent – wound, and larceny.
The older man was also charged with cultivate prohibited plant less than small quantity, and supply cannabis more than indictable and below commercial quantity.
