Keith, 91, and Muriel Cole, 89, regulars at Condell Park Trotting Club and Chester Hill RSL Club, have two children Wendy and Graham, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
State MP for Bankstown, Tania Mihailuk (pictured), presented an award and flowers to the couple to mark their special day on October 6.
“I was delighted to visit Mr and Mrs Cole to present them with a small gift of flowers and an award for their 70th platinum wedding anniversary,” she said.
“Congratulations on such an amazing milestone.”
Mr Cole said: “Muriel is the greatest – it has been wonderful being married to her for 70 years,” while Mrs Coles said: “Keith is a loving husband and father. I am delighted to have celebrated our 70th anniversary.”
