The town of Lonato in Northern Italy again hosted the Superfinal at the South Garda Circuit last week, with some 500 Kart racers competing.
Ninovic was one of only 34 drivers who made it through three days of pre-qualifying.
He was lucky to make the final after suffering a brake failure and destroying his kart, leaving him very bruised.
With a new PCR Factory Kart on standby, Ninovic junior was back on track scoring enough points to start the final in 29th position. Contested over 16 laps of the 1.3 km circuit, Alex pushed hard, moving forward to finish in 19th place.
“Coming back to Italy and racing in the ROK Cup Superfinal again is so rewarding,” he said.
“Knowing you are racing the world’s best drivers is so cool, it was unfortunate we experienced mechanical issues that put us too for back down the grid to show our true potential,” he said.
