On Monday, September 27, shots were allegedly fired outside a home on William Street, before shots were returned from the home at a white Mazda.
A 24-year-old was arrested after a short chase last Thursday, with police allegedly seizing methylamphetamine, while a mobile phone and handgun were located in the surrounding area.
He was charged with fire firearm at dwelling-house with disregard for safety, possess unauthorised firearm, and possess prohibited drug.
Seven men have been charged and are before the courts.
