About 6.15am (Wednesday, September 22), emergency services were called to the Hume Highway intersection with Northcote Road, Greenacre, after reports of a motorcycle crash.
Police have been told the motorcycle was travelling east along the Hume Highway before the crash.
The male rider was treated at the scene by passing motorists, before NSW Ambulance and police arrived. He was taken to hospital where he died a short time later. He is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be aged 32.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
