The TAFE Statement in Education and Employment Pathways course, offered in partnership with Cumberland Council, will also help you to understand vocational training options and provide you with a pathway into further study.
Mayor Steve Christou says Cumberland is one of the most diverse local government areas in NSW, if not Australia, with many residents migrating here.
“These classes are designed to help people improve their English and to help them settle into our community,” he said.
TAFE Head Teacher Michelle Morrison said the course even helped families at home.
“Students often say that learning English has helped them understand their children’s homework and read books, which means they can help them learn,” she said.
This online course is delivered two hours a week on Thursdays, September 2-November 18, 10am-12pm.
