Would you like to know how to harness the power of exercise to lift your mood?
Established in 2013, Mood Active helps people to get started using exercise to improve their mental health.
“Our aim is to offer affordable exercise programs and we provide the extra outreach, coaching support and supervision needed when people are struggling with their motivation,” facilitator Naomi Blair said.
Over 87 per cent of participants report a sustained increase in mood after completing the online $5 class, which is on offer daily, in which they receive advice on what to do when the going gets tough, how to overcome barriers, techniques for boosting motivation and the tips and tricks of exercise.
Starting this Saturday, August 21, and running for four weeks on a Saturday morning, 10am-12noon, until September 11, Mood Active is offering a free online program providing a sample of the range of casual classes such as Body Circuit, Core and Mobility, Active Stretch and Cardio Circuit.
For males and females aged 18 to 65, Naomi says it’s a great opportunity to get on the path to a better, happier you for free.
“The classes are designed by a psychologist and Masters of Coaching graduate and feature motivational tips and easy adult learning techniques,” she added.
Places are limited so register without delay by emailing info@moodactive.org.au or call Naomi on 0412 190 842.
